Clear Roads Ahead: Celebrating 25 Years of Vizzion

Morvarid Zandichi, Head of Culture and Talent

Every milestone deserves a moment, and after 25 years of building, innovating, and delivering the clearest view of the road ahead, we decided ours should be unforgettable. On July 19, 2025, we gathered for a gala worthy of a quarter century in business.

The team wore bright silver formal wear for their night of laughs and camaraderie.

Sparkle, laughter, and camaraderie lit up the anniversary gala.

It was a night filled with stories from our early days, heartfelt messages from long-time partners, and plenty of laughs in between. Current employees, alumni, friends, and collaborators all came together under one roof to celebrate not just the company’s achievements but the people who made them possible.

In 2000, traffic cameras were novelties. The internet was slow, smartphones didn’t exist, and the idea of checking a live feed before hitting the road was closer to science fiction than daily habit. But even then, we saw something others didn’t.

We saw a way to make travel safer, navigation smarter, and responses to emergencies faster. We believed that if people could see the road ahead, whether they were commuters, first responders, or long-haul drivers, they could make better decisions. That belief became Vizzion.

Today, Vizzion provides the world’s largest commercially available traffic camera network, with over 100,000 roadside and on-vehicle cameras across 30+ countries. These aren’t just dots on a map; they’re live windows into the real world. Our feeds now reach navigation and weather apps, transportation agencies, public safety platforms, broadcasters, traffic operations centers, fleet dispatches, and even university research labs.

For 25 years, our customers have trusted us with something precious: their confidence. In our industries, reliability isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s everything. If our cameras go down, an entire chain of decisions is affected. That’s why we’ve built our reputation on delivering uptime, accuracy, and clarity when it matters most.

Guests enjoyed fine food and drink.

Guests enjoyed gourmet food, fine drinks, and lively entertainment throughout the night.

And as much as we’re proud of where we are, we’re not slowing down. The next chapter is about AI-driven image analysis, more coverage, and new angles of view of the roadway. We’re keeping the same promise we started with, only now the view ahead is sharper, faster, and smarter.

Partnerships have been the backbone of our growth. We didn’t try to sprint to the top; we built together. From industry leaders like Microsoft, INRIX, and iHeartMedia to more than 200 national and regional government agencies and private organizations across 6 continents, we’ve built relationships grounded in mutual trust and long-term vision. Our partners know that when we commit, we stay committed, and that’s why so many have been with us for years. These partnerships are more than contracts; they’re proof that when goals align and reliability is proven, growth follows naturally.

Behind every feed, every integration, and every piece of code is a team of people who make it work. Our engineers, developers, account managers, and support staff all share a common trait: they care deeply about doing things right. Led by Chris Cooper, whose 30 years of expertise in APIs and imaging technology, our team blends deep industry knowledge with fresh ideas from new talent. Everyone has a voice, and the best ideas can come from anywhere.

Every employee was gifted a silver bar thank you gift.

Marking our silver anniversary, employees received silver bars — a once-in a lifetime extravagance.

Our culture isn’t a bullet point on a careers page, it’s in the way we collaborate, how we problem-solve, and how we celebrate each other’s wins. It’s in the mix of long-time veterans and recent graduates working side by side. We know that the right environment attracts the right people, and the right people create the right solutions.

At the gala, we celebrated more than an anniversary, we celebrated everyone who’s been part of the journey. But more than anything, the night reminded us why we do this work: because behind every image, every integration, and every milestone are people—people counting on us to deliver, innovate, and keep moving forward.

Twenty-five years in, we’re proud of what we’ve built, but even more excited about what’s next. Technology will keep changing, and so will the way we deliver it, but our purpose remains the same: to provide the most up to date, useful road imagery and insights to help save lives, time, costs, and frustration – everywhere.

To our customers: thank you for trusting us.

To our partners: thank you for building with us.

To our employees: thank you for showing up every day ready to solve problems that matter.

And to those who don’t know us yet: we’d love to meet you.

Here’s to the next 25 years, because the road is still stretching out in front of us and the view has never looked better.
