Vizzion’s on-vehicle images allow for detailed and real-time street-level reporting. The images collected are a rich information source that can allow transportation agencies to visually confirm road surface conditions, traffic flow, signage, and street parking. The data from hotspot images gives agencies the ability to determine sections of roadway where road repairs may be required, impact attenuators need to be replaced, new lines need to be painted, or where additional signage and parking should be added, to assist traffic flow and ensure commuter safety. Hotspots also allow DOT’s to see in underpasses and along detours that wouldn’t normally require a camera but have heavier traffic flow due to traffic rerouting. Vizzion’s hotspot data is stored for a year, allowing agencies insights into changes in roadway and rates of deterioration to help identify where updates are needed most.
